Job Description
We are looking for an accomplished engineering leader to head our multidisciplinary engineering team in Dubai. The successful candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, leadership acumen, and proven experience managing high-end swimming pools, spas, water features, and landscape infrastructure. This role is critical to upholding Watermaster’s quality, innovation, and project excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of pools, spas, wellness facilities, water features, and landscape systems, including equipment selection, sizing, calculations, and modeling.
- Conduct feasibility studies and engineering evaluations to guide strategic decisions and improvements.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, cost estimates, and specifications aligned with project goals.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes, environmental regulations, and permitting standards.
- Oversee site execution, ensuring construction and installations meet design intent, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Conduct site inspections and infrastructure assessments, identifying risks and opportunities for optimization.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Manage departmental operations: budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
- Develop and implement strategic goals, procedures, and KPIs for the engineering department.
- Review and approve designs, reports, and plans to ensure engineering integrity and alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct technical research, draft engineering reports, and support business development efforts with technical insight.
- Negotiate and oversee contracts with consultants and contractors to optimize delivery and outcomes.
- Represent Watermaster in meetings with clients, authorities, and professional bodies as a subject-matter expert.
- Maintain documentation, correspondence, and administrative reports as required.
- Support executive management with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise of at least 10 years in the design and delivery of wellness, landscape and water infrastructure projects.
- Strong command of engineering software and modeling tools (AutoCAD, Revit, EPANET, etc.).
- Deep understanding of construction methodologies, quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance in the GCC.
- Excellent project and budget management skills.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a passion for mentoring and professional development.
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
- PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
